About Us

Napping House Farm is a shared dream-turned-reality by a family team: Kim, Jaya, and Jake.

Kim grew up on horseback in Australia before moving to the city to become an established fashion designer in the luxury world. For her, the farm is the perfect balance—an aesthetically beautiful space with land and animals, just two hours from New York City. She brings her design eye to all the rental units and has had so much fun making each one unique and inviting.

Jaya, her daughter, dreamed of opening a safe, loving, healing space for animals in need of a home, while also learning to live a sustainable and self-sufficient lifestyle.

Jake (Jaya's husband) shares that vision deeply, and together the three of us co-founded Napping House Farm. He brings a deep commitment to land stewardship, hands-on animal care, and educating the public about the world of animal rescue.

We all love welcoming guests, sharing local recommendations, giving animal tours, and showcasing the beauty of the Hudson Valley and Catskills. It’s our shared vision to bring this land to life, provide animals with a forever home, educate others about compassionate living, and open our space to those seeking rest, nature, and connection.
